Yes, this is a !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! with an Evo-like grille that's quite likely plasti-dipped or painted and aftermarket wheels.

Yes or no? I'm thinking NO.

Looks better than a stock Mirage...

If it were green and cheaper maybe. I'd pick one up for around 12k new.

End its life now, 5th gen.

Welcome back to another addition of It Doesn't Take Much! On today's episode, how to polish a turd.

No.
The Mirage is easily in the top 5 worst cars on the market today. It's a turd.

It would be hilarious if you could rev the engine of that next to the Mirage, resulting in it flopping on it's side like a cow/tractor.

74 hp. That is all I am gonna say

Not by much, in my opinion.
I am quite fond of the wheels, though. Those might look good on a new Fit.

If I had to drive this Mirage or the stock one, I would pick this one. Guess I am agreeing with you for once!

Indeed. It's sad that Mitsubishi went from the nice US-built Outlander Sport to this dud.

Exactly my thought. Shit, if I'm buying a 13 grand new car, I want that baby to look as good as possible, and I flatly refuse to spend more to do so. This is a nice solution.

I know they say it's more fun to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow, but I'll bet driving this fast won't be fun.

Is this a thing a dealer is doing? Have they made more of them?
![]() 06/24/2014 at 19:16 |
|
Not that I know of.
Perhaps the dealer saw this and thought they'd try it themselves.

As the driver of a Mirage, I can answer: as long as it's the five-speed manual, it'll be fun.

You're just following the herd. Have you even driven one?
![]() 06/24/2014 at 23:54 |

I like it.
![]() 06/25/2014 at 08:27 |

Nope, and there's no reason to since it's critically panned by everyone who has driven it. I can get more for my money in a dozen other cars.

Why all the haters? - because they don't know shit.
That is all.

I have the 5 spd and it was the cheapest new car I could find, the ES at this price point is about right; the DE completely base is the best value $ for $ versus other cars hands down. It doesn't drive bad at all, it races like garbage. What other brand new non hybrid gasoline car can you drive 80 mph in and still get nearly 40 mpg with room to seat 5 for less than $15k? If you want a race car, this isn't for you; if you want something for a tight budget this may be it.
